I believe that as humans, we are wired for connecting with one another. I also believe that we can powerfully co-create our experiences with our friends, families and community when we feel safe and at home within ourselves. Turning toward ourselves with curiosity and compassion to establish a secure inner connection is a powerful and sustainable step toward building a satisfying life.

I hold a Master’s degree in Marriage & Family Therapy from Central Connecticut State University. I have specialized training in Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples and families, which promotes using the power of our emotions to heal ourselves and our relationships. Additionally, I am certified in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, a skills-based model that focuses on learning evidence based techniques to foster emotional stability. Additionally, I spent 5 years as a professional labor and delivery doula, which has given me unique experience and expertise in helping individuals and families navigate the transitions of pregnancy, childbirth and family growth and loss.

I look forward to helping people that are facing both chronic and acute mental health/relational issues that impact their physical, emotional and behavioral health. I strive to maintain a non-judgemental stance and welcome complex issues including grief, sexuality, infidelity, ADHD, depression, stress and trauma.

I am a self-identified “late bloomer”, earning a Master’s degree in my mid-fifties after my therapist encouraged me to chase my dream. I sought out therapy after the birth of my third child when I could no longer manage a life-long battle with anxiety and depression. Therapy gave me back my life and now it’s my turn to pay it forward.

As a wife of 30 years and mother to three young adults, my education has been a welcomed addition to a wealth of experience in the complexity of intimate and multi-generational relationships. I turn to my training as a trauma informed yoga instructor and mindful self-compassion educator on a daily basis to help me manage the daily stresses and unpredictable vicissitudes of life. I also spend time outside every day, hiking, mountain biking, gardening or walking our dog Rusty, as a pillar of self-care for my body, mind and spirit.
